Get Ready for JEA in LA

I would like to remind anyone who is planning to go to the Los Angeles convention to please get their speaker proposals submitted by Dec. 15. jea.org/volunteer

Dec. 15 also is the deadline for the following awards:

Linda S. Puntney Teacher Inspiration Award
Rising Star Award
Diversity Award
First Amendment Press Freedom Award (round 1)

Encourage people to apply or nominate someone.

The Teacher Inspiration winner will be honored at the Advisers Institute in Las Vegas, while the rest will be honored at the national convention in Los Angeles.

If you plan to submit your application for Certified Journalism Educator or Master Journalism Educator to take the test or be recognized in Los Angeles, please submit your application materials by Feb. 1.
