Administrator of the Year
Nominated by advisers, this award is presented annually to school administrators who demonstrate support for scholastic journalists and journalism education.

Trailblazers
An award for people who have set trends and shaped Texas Journalism.

Friends of Texas Journalism
Friends of Journalism Awards are given in appreciation of efforts to expand the scope and capability of Texas scholastic journalism.

Pathfinders
A rising-star award for educators advising scholastic media programs for seven or fewer years.

Texas Treasures
TAJE’s highest honor. Created in 2016, the Texas Treasure is given to a person who has spent a career in Texas journalism and has helped, advised, guided and directed other journalism teachers in the state.

Student Press Rights Advocate of the Year
An award to recognize students who have worked to advocate for student press rights which could include involvement in advocating for a New Voices law in Texas, standing firm to defend student press rights in the face of adversity in the form of censorship or prior restraint or general promotion of the importance of the student press in school communities.
